Darling_take_off_the_mask
Most Creative Challenge This award is for the host of a challenge you loved because it was fun, weird, or just plain different. You need not have actually participated in the challenge to be able to nominate. A member may be nominated multiple times if they hosted multiple challenges. challenge: host: link to challenge thread: reason: All members are limited to making one nomination. No seconding is necessary for a nominee to move on to voting. There’s no benefit to seconding an existing nomination, so we suggest you nominate a different member instead. Challenge must have been "live" at some point since September 1, 2022 - i.e., the challenge must either have been posted since September 1, 2022, or it may have been posted before that date but must not have closed to entries until after September 1, 2022. Challenges that are already over may be found in the challenge archive or holding area. previous winners: The Untranslatable Word Challenge by prideofprewett (members who have won previously are not disqualified from being nominated in this category, because this category is specific to the challenge itself)
ineffable_season
challenge: The Regency Rep Challenge host: @inmyownlittlecorner link to challenge thread: link+ reason: Period + drama, but diversify it! The regency genre overall has undergone many transformations in recent years. Particularly in terms of inclusivity. I was absolutely thrilled to see a challenge that had us thinking about the different forms of representation and how they might be incorporated into stories during this time period. There was so much room for creativity for those of us who participated in this challenge, not only to dive into a specific period of time, but to also identify how we addressed the social commentary of the times regarding diversity and inclusion. I think it added another layer to these stories, and I was so thrilled that Noelle decided to host it! 1 1
Oregonian
challenge: 100 Ways To Leave A Lover challenge host: @RogueSlytherin link to challenge thread: Here reason: Although the chapter prompts are the same as in the Fluff challenge, it is fascinating to see how the stories themselves can be turned around, to become sad and angsty. Especially sad since we remember how these same scenarios and events were so happy last time.
