i say this every year and every year its... not going well or i end up doing nothing that was planned but im a mess anyway so here we are.

 

new november. new nano. new novelnest.

 

the thing i will defo be doing is just continue my write every day streak. it's currently at 10 months (!!!) and im v proud of that. most of it has been rpg-posts only, but, eh, yknow, its still writing so im taking it.

as im definitely continuing doing that, i have hopes to write at least every day, even if it's just one sentence of dialogue, but hey, words are words, and i have no goal in mind except to at least get something on paper every day.

 

that being said - im deep into a red, white, royal blue hyperfixation, and i happen to be working on a 5+1 pharmacy au which will be angsty as all hell. ive got the first of it written, and have been holding off on the rest (not that i know whats going to happen in each chapter exactly but theres a vague idea and im just rolling w that) to write during nano.

 

if theres anything else i might end up writing i probably will, especially considering 've got a load of nightshifts coming up with fuck all to do, so if i dont read, i shall be writing, so we'll see where we end up :3

 

either way, im excited, i have hopes to at least write every day, and if i manage at least that, ill be happy!

@Pixileanin thank you! personally - im shook i made it this far. last year i hit a 100 days and then lost it on accident which resulted in me not writing in months bc i was so pissed at myself, to the point im legit scared what will happen if i lose it now!

 

either way, nano going slow. kept the writing up, wrote a new ch for the rwrb pharmacy au and have bounced ideas against someone and got more of a solid idea for that now. just need to get into the right headspace bc a n g s t galore, (and if writing ch2 got me to the point of near sobbing at work bc of it, i cant imagine that the next chapters will do to me), but the posting every day has also happened, so im currently at a 3.6k total words :3 feeling p good about that

Your writing everyday strike is so impressive! I really hope you'll manage to keep it going (and not get too discouraged if you happened to break it... I can see how that would be a bummer, but also, life is unpredictable, and our energy isn't endless, and you should be proud of where you got so far, because, as I was saying, it's so impressive! I don't have that level of constancy and dedication, and I admire you loads!)

HI, Ineke!  You seem to have a good philosophy for writing -- slow and steady, not worrying about how many words per day, or whether you are going back and forth from one idea/project to another; you just "keep on keeping' on."  As you have mentioned, each day's little success adds up over time to lots of words, and after all, who's in a hurry?

I hope you are enduring all those night shifts, and if things get slow during the wee small hours of the morning, I hope you get a little bit of writing done, even if it's just jotting ideas down.  I no longer have to work night shifts, though I did back in the day.  Now it's just a matter of getting sudden good ideas in the middle of the night and then forcing myself to write them down right away, because I won't remember them in the morning.  I hope you are getting enough sleep, especially as the holidays are creeping up on us.

@Felpata_Lupin sorry for responding so slow! i saw it, and then work happened, and i promptly forgot to respond. either way thank you for your reaction! you're absolutely right, though it does help that i even count like a two word piece of dialogue like, 'yeah absolutely' as having written like. words be words, yknow? but thanks so much for your encouragement and nice words! its going pretty well, hit 10k yesterday, so im v v pleased!

thank you! thats exactly what im trying to go for and for now it sort of seems to be working? still mostly rpg posts, but, yknow, its still writing and thats what matters.

as for the nightshifts - theyre going good! it does bear to say that ive been in a nightshift rhythm ever since my last bout since i didnt see the point in getting out of it when i was going to go back into it, and only had eveningshifts in between, so im also getting plenty of sleep, haha. (bar sunday, but that was my own fault for planning to go out with friends, an hour travelling away, and getting there on 2 hours of sleep and just not getting any more bc i had to go straight back to work by the time i got home. but, yknow, it was fun and worth it). But yeah, ive not been writing all too much during those shifts (either bc i did have stuff to do, or bc i was just reading fanfic) but i did write a new chapter of my pharmacy au. just... four more to go. i just need a goof headspace for that though bc its going to get really angsty and if you get pulled out of the mood then, eyah, its hard to go back into it.

Hi Ineke!

It's great to see that you're partaking in Nanowrimo this year and that you're continuing to write even if it's only a sentence or two a day or something like that!  Anything that can be written down on paper or more accurately, typed down, when you can do so is still pretty good!  Here's hoping that if anything may get in a way that it's very short term and or if things don't always go your way as life happens, that you'll still be able to keep going in spite of it and that it's okay because life happens and that you're human and if that sounds pretty cheesy then my bad!  Still hoping that you'll be able to write as much as you can is what I'm trying to get at!  Also I believe RP posts do count because you're still writing either way and I've actually was able to make a short one shot fanfiction out of it so definitely rooting for you to do the best you can and that I'll definitely be behind you if anybody has anything to say about it!  Anyway, I've also only heard Red, White, and Royal Blue about in passing but your Pharmacy AU with angst sounds pretty interesting!  I hope that you'll be able to write as much as you can while also going at your own pace or what you can manage for the day (and especially with having to deal with long night shifts and whatnot) and am wishing you tons of good luck on writing your fanfiction as well as anything else that you want to and or planned to write! You can do this! You got this! I also hope that you'll be able to reach your writing goals during this month as well!
