Each week a google form will be posted with five subjective questions. You stand to profit by responding to each question in a way that matches as many other respondents as possible. For each member of your house who responds to a question with the most popular answer, you will earn 1 point. The Magical Gaming Control Board has applied some restrictions to discourage backroom dealing during this event. You will only be betting on and receiving awards for the answers provided by those from other universities, so planning answers with your teammates will not give you an advantage. There is no limit to how many people may participate, but each participant may only respond to each week's survey once. See under the spoiler for an example for how scoring for a question might play out. Spoiler What is the best color? Gryffindor 1: purple Gryffindor 2: green Gryffindor 3: blue Gryffindor 4: blue Hufflepuff 1: yellow Hufflepuff 2: green Hufflepuff 3: blue Hufflepuff 4: purple Ravenclaw 1: blue Ravenclaw 2: green Ravenclaw 3: blue Ravenclaw 4: purple Ravenclaw 5: blue Ravenclaw 6: purple Slytherin 1: green Slytherin 2: green Slytherin 3: green Slytherin 4: blue To look at Slytherin’s scoring, we remove all Slytherin responses and are left with the following: 6 blue 3 green 4 purple 1 yellow Based on Slytherin’s sample, BLUE was the most popular response. One Slytherin responded with blue, so Slytherin earns 1 point. Hufflepuff’s scoring worked out similarly. Let’s look at Gryffindor’s sample: 5 blue 5 green 3 purple 1 yellow We have a tie between BLUE and GREEN! Two Gryffindors responded with blue and one with green, so Gryffindor earns 3 points. And Ravenclaw: 5 green 4 blue 2 purple 1 yellow Based on Ravenclaw’s sample, GREEN was the most popular response. One Ravenclaw responded with green, so Ravenclaw gets 1 point. This process will be repeated for 5 questions each week, for a total of 20 questions.
