Is there any chance of everyone being able to view the results of polls, rather than only those who voted in them? Going back to my previous post on here, it would have been nice to see how I did even though I didn't participate as I was having a break from writing at that time. Ineke Posted June 8, 2022 Share Posted June 8, 2022 you can view the results of a poll if you either vote or forfeit your vote (by hitting view results) before the deadline of the poll. if you haven't done either, its unfortunately not possible to view those results later on. because we are not planning on changing the settings of how the voting works itself (with which i mean, we aren't planning on changing the settings back so you can see the results without forfeiting your vote), it's unfortunately also impossible to view the results if you haven't voted/forfeited your vote, because that's just how the set-up of the forum works. i hope this makes sense! 2 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Goatspeed Posted November 6, 2022 Share Posted November 6, 2022 I'm sure this is something that's been answered before, and I'm even more sure that the solution is ridiculously simple, but I have failed in my every effort to mark stories as favorites or to follow them or whatever it is one is supposed to to do so that it isn't necessary to hunt for a partially read one. Because if you go to a certain story, you should be able to hit 'add story to favorites' from the story shell (that is to say, from the place in the story where you can access all chapters, if that makes sense? (I just wokr up so forgive me if it doesnt)). From there you should also be able to add it to your reading list which i think is equivalent to following them, but I'm not entirely sure about that because I never use that feature. I just tried to do both and it worked for me, so I'm not entirely sure where it's going wrong for you. You can also PM me with explanations of how you do it, if that's better for you! I just wanted to point out that the "reading list" feature seems to be working only with the default ("fire") skin, I normally use "Night sky" and I don't see the link on the stories' shells. I'm puzzled as I attempt to upload my first little story - I've filled in the form and managed to get the file into the proper format, but when I hit the "preview" button, in addition to all the stuff I put in there I found a list of series that don't belong to me and have no relation to my little story. I haven't been able to find anything on the form screen that allows me to edit the series (I'm guessing that's because I don't have any series to edit), so if someone can please tell me what I need to do to clear this text from the cover screen I'd be mighty grateful. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks. from what i can see, the weird characters are like the ' or " you use when starting a sentence. it seems to be a symbol that's not recognised. what exactly did you use? and, another question, how did you put the information in there? did you copy paste from word, or do you write in something else? Unless the sentence begins with dialogue, it just starts with a capital letter. If it's dialogue, then it starts with ". The character I see looks like a diamond shape with a question mark in the middle (an odd description, I know, but the best I can manage). I compose with MS Word, but when I tried to upload I got a message that the .docx file wasn't recognized and that I needed to upload a plain text file, so I converted the Word file by using Word's "save as" function to create a .txt file and uploaded that.
